Brian A. Schebler, McGladrey & Pullen, LLP director of services to the public sector, has been appointed to serve on the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Government Audit Quality Center Executive Committee.
The center was created to help firms that audit public sector organizations improve compliance with AICPA standards and requirements of the U.S. General Accounting Office, Office of Management and Budget and other federal entities. The executive committee will establish policies and membership requirements for the center, determine sanctions for member firms that don't comply, oversee center activities and make recommendations to AICPA boards and committees. Schebler joined McGladrey & Pullen, LLP in 1981. His focus for the past 12 years has been on providing a range of services to the Firm's public sector clients. Schebler also serves on the AICPA State and Local Government Industry Expert Panel.
