 The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants has named Brian Schebler, a partner in McGladrey & Pullen's National Office of Audit & Accounting, to its State and Local Government Expert Panel.
The AICPA chose Schebler, who joined McGladrey & Pullen in 1981, for his expertise in working with state and local governments. For the past 12 years, Schebler, who resides in Mound, Minn., has been responsible for directing the Firm's extensive range of services to public sector (non-profit and governmental) clients. "Brian Schebler is a leading authority on state and local government attest and assurance issues," says William D. Travis, managing partner of McGladrey & Pullen. "His extensive knowledge in this field will be invaluable to the State and Local Government Expert Panel." The State and Local Government Expert Panel will identify and advise on specific business reporting, attest and assurance issues unique to state and local governments. The 340,000-member AICPA is the national professional organization for all Certified Public Accountants.
