Summary of Experience
Bill Travis joined McGladrey & Pullen, LLP in July
1975 as a staff accountant in the firm's Minneapolis office. He specialized
in audit services and was admitted to partnership in 1983. In
1996, Travis was named the firm's Securities & Exchange Commission
(SEC) coordinator. One year later, he was named executive partner of
national audit and accounting.
Travis became McGladrey & Pullen's managing partner in 1999, serving
as an architect for the firm's alternative practice structure -- a structure
that has been identified as an industry model. He retired as managing partner
in 2006, and remains as a member of the board of directors.
Business and Professional Affiliations
Travis is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants (AICPA) and actively serves on a variety of committees and task forces.
Education
Travis received degrees in economics,
political science and philosophy from Cornell
College and a master's degree in accounting
from the University of Iowa. |
